Sam first reviews how OnePointOne developed a fully automated vertical farming system that uses robotics, controlled-environment engineering, and high-density cultivation to dramatically reduce land, water, and resource use while laying the groundwork for sustainable off-world agriculture. He then explores how vertical farms can function as oxygen generators, molecular printers, recycling systems, bioplastic producers, and even mental health sanctuaries, while addressing microgravity, radiation, seed genetics, energy demands, and plant-based molecular manufacturing as critical elements of future space medicine and settlement.
